*** Instructions for fresh installations ***

For accessing any backend server through home WiFi networks please visit general user guide. For accessing Nvidia Xavier backend through USB direct connection please visit Xavier user guide.

*** Instructions for upgrading from previous builds ***

For accessing backend server through home WiFi networks:

1. Only two binaries, jetson_agent/jetson_agent.exe and jetson_scan/jetson_scan.exe, need to update.

2. From frontend client, terminate all running JRE engines. If engine is loaded by chess software please exit the software. This step is required for every frontend client to upgrade.

3. From backend server, terminate Jetson agent. This step is required for every backend server to upgrade.

4. Extract Jetson agent jetson_agent.exe (Windows) or jetson_agent (Xavier and Linux) from the backend zip package and replace the old one in the server. This step is required for every backend server to upgrade.

5. Extract Jetson client jetson_scan.exe (Windows) or jetson_scan (Linux and Mac OS) from the frontend zip package and replace the old one in the client. This step is required for every frontend client to upgrade.

6. From each backend server that is upgraded, launch agent again.

7. From each frontend client that is upgraded, run "jetson_scan scan server_ip" to re-generate JRE engines. Note: server_ip is the IP address of the backend server to access by the client.

8. From any frontend client, launch chess software and start engine again.

For accessing Nvidia Xavier backend through USB direct connection:

1. From frontend client, terminate all running JRE engines. If engine is loaded by chess software please exit the software.

2. From Xavier backend device, terminate Jetson agent.

3. Extract Jetson agent jetson_agent from the Xavier backend zip package and replace the old one in the device.

4. Extract Jetson client jetson_scan.exe (Windows) or jetson_scan (Linux and Mac OS) along with the pre-built JRExxx binaries from the frontend zip package and replace the old ones in the client.

5. From Xavier backend device that is upgraded, launch agent again.

6. From frontend client that is upgraded, launch chess software and start engine again.
